About the project
CROSS CULTURE Project is the practical part of MA Arts Management project (University College Falmouth – DARTINGTON Campus, Totnes, Devon, UK) implemented by Marie Kotkova.
The aim was to research examples of local event management practice promoting intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity. Six artists were directly involved into all project phases – Ayodele Scott (Sierra Leone), Chartwell Dutiro (Zimbabwe), Denis Kigongo (Uganda), Samuel Yeboah (Ghana) and Su Hart and Martin Cradick (UK). The outcome of the project was a creation of promotional materials and web-pages www.manjana.org and their individual profiles. This enable Marie to promote them, their projects and activities aiming to build bridges between cultures of African countries and UK. This research and production of practical promotional tools creates a platform for mutual intercultural exchange between Czech, English and African artists and opens possibilities of mutually beneficial cooperation at the trans-national level.
The CROSS CULTURE Project is going to be presented as part of ULTIMATE dART – Dartington Campus MA SHOW 2010 – 20th – 22nd of July. The research and project activities will continue after this event. Artists who are interested in cooperation are more than welcome! Don’ts hesitate to contact me :-).
